For many generations, entrepreneurship has been second nature to our family, and the current generation is no exception. In the past, we have been involved in textiles, automobiles, bicycles, white goods, and numerous other products. As a family business, we take pride in this tradition of entrepreneurship and place great emphasis on creating long-term value.
Equus Ferus proudly continues this tradition, which spans more than 100 years. The current family business is primarily active in the collector's market but also holds stakes in other companies. Our core family value is to create value for all stakeholders—both for the companies within our portfolio and for the employees who make the most significant contribution to the success of our endeavours.
In past years, the focus of the current holding was primarily on companies trading in collectible coins, where the organisation has achieved a dominant position globally. More recently, we have expanded our scope to include investments in start-ups, property, and a wide range of SMEs seeking expertise or resources to accelerate their growth.
We believe in active involvement with the companies we invest in. Our focus lies in close collaboration with management teams to develop strategies for long-term success. Strengthening and optimising business processes, innovating in areas such as e-commerce, and advising on further growth opportunities—both organic and through acquisitions—are key aspects of this approach.
However, when we believe the time is right to integrate a company into a larger organization, we sell our stake to ensure the company's continued growth in the future.
